“At last the Tremper Shoe company have found a home. They have purchased the lot and old Wait Cabinet work building on West Second street corner of Madison street. The old building will be torn away and a new three story brick structure much larger than the old building will be erected. It was thought that the old building might be repaired but the company decided after examining it that it would be better to tear it down completely and erect an entire new building. Work will be commenced at once as soon as the contracts can be let.”1
