About

Hi there, I’m Eli.

Founder of Wandering Appalachia

Welcome to my website! My name is Eli and I am a genealogist, cemetery researcher, and preservationist who uses photography, videography, and drone piloting to collect, preserve, and share information about Appalachia. I am passionate about exploring the remote locations of this beautiful and historic region and using my skills and expertise to uncover the stories of the people who lived and died here.

As a genealogist, I have spent many years researching and documenting the family histories of people from all walks of life. I have a keen eye for detail and a deep knowledge of the sources and methods used in genealogical research, and I am committed to providing my clients with accurate and reliable information about their ancestors.

As a cemetery researcher and preservationist, I am dedicated to protecting and preserving the many old cemeteries that can be found throughout Appalachia. I am skilled at locating and studying these cemeteries, and I use my photography, videography, and drone piloting skills to document and share the stories of the people buried in these graves.

In addition to my work as a genealogist and cemetery researcher, I also spend many hours in front of a computer piecing together the various pieces of our history. This involves combing through old records and documents, as well as using modern technology to digitize and preserve these materials for future generations.

I am truly passionate about the history and culture of Appalachia, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share this knowledge with others. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about my work, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for visiting my website!
