Mrs. Thomas Henderson is critically ill at her home on the West Side and her daughter is down with typhoid fever. The family is in distressing circumstances, yet this did not deter Al Turner, the landlord, from serving notice on them to vacate, though Henderson was only four dollars delinquent in his rent. Turner’s act was all the talk among West Siders, along Market street Saturday, and he came in for sharp criticism even from friends.”1

Mrs. Henderson Dies a Month Later

Mrs. Henderson2, wife of T. J. Henderson, a West Side farmer, died at her home near the infirmary Tuesday night after a long illness with consumption.”

“The deceased was about forty-six years of age and leaves besides her husband four children.”

“The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon.”3
