George Lewis, an old and respected citizen of Jefferson township, having brooded over a loss of money by the suspension of Dugan & Co’s bank, some years since, became insane over his losses. He finally got it into his head that he had been defrauded of large sums of money by relatives in Philadelphia, and his malady continuing to increase, he was brought to this city by his son, and an inquest held by the Probate Court, which resulted in his being adjudged insane.”1
