Miss Katie Gately, an estimable young lady, in her 18th year, and daughter of Barney Gately, after an illness of three weeks from typhoid fever, died at the residence of her father, on Front street, near Sinton street, last Monday morning. She was a member of the Sodality in the Church of the Holy Redeemer, and High Mass was celebrated for the departed last Wednesday morning at eight o’clock, at the Church of the Holy Redeemer, Reverend Father Steyle officiating, after which, the remains were interred in the new addition to Greenlawn Cemetery.1
