Cemetery Location Description:
Section: NE 1/4 of S8-T1:R21 Kinney-Briggs Cemetery is located on the north side of 24th Street at Waller Street. At this location is found a sign marking the cemetery and a set of stairs. The stairs do not continue and a trail must be followed up the hillside to access the cemetery. The Kinney Cemetery is within the bounds of the brick enclosure, which in down in several locations around the perimeter. The Briggs Cemetery is outside the bounds of the brick enclosure and to the west. Both cemeteries are noted as being on private property and neglected. More current visits to this cemetery (2017-2021) not a marked improvement in maintenance.
