Cemetery Notes:

FEURT CEMETERY is located on a hillside .5 east of Franklin Furnace, .2 mile north of U.S. Route 52, across from Highland Park area. The nearby house and barns have been abandoned, and with the
construction of 52, the driveways and paths have grown over. When I visited the cemetery on January 26, 1980, it was in excellent shape. The fence was down, but the stones were all legible, only four or five having fallen over. There were three old stones without engraving. The inscriptions show that the cemetery was used from 1832 until 1909.
