- 20240322: A review of FindAGrave shows that Batterson Cemetery in Minford, Ohio, and Batterson/German/Mt. Zion Cemetery in Porter Township have been greatly confused with each other. The description of Minford’s Batterson cemetery is that of Porter township. A review of historical inscriptions would be required to untangle this. It will also be required to update the location information with FindAGrave.
MT. ZION METHODIST CEMETERY (also known as Wheelersburg M.E. Cemetery) is located on Lang Slocum Ridge Rd. about 1 mile south of Slocum Station on the east side of the road. These inscriptions were copied May 22, 1978 by Carolyn Dever and Caryn R. Shoemaker. Rechecked Dec 8, l987
