A Card of Thanks from John F. Molster

“I desire to express my heartfelt thanks, as well as I can find language to indicate my feelings of gratitude, for the very great kindness and assistance shown and rendered me during the terrible suffering of my son James, and after his death, by the Gaylord Rolling Mill Company and its employees. I fear that I shall never be able to return the favors shown me in my great distress by my old employers and fellow workmen. I hope, however, that they will receive their reward in a better world. -John F. Molster”1

“James Molster, son of John F. Molster, died last Wednesday morning from the effects of the accident we narrated in these columns recently. It will be remembered that young Molster had the misfortune to have a red hot bar of iron to pass through his leg. Gangrene set in, and, although the limb was amputated, the virulent gangrenous poison did its fatal work, and young Molster yielded to a premature death. He was an industrious young man, an affectionate son, and his afflicted relatives and friends have the commiseration of the entire community.”2
