“Picnic parties and pleasure seekers will find this resort, during the summer, very pleasant, having quite an extended view of the Ohio river, the Scioto Valley and the City of Portsmouth. Ladies and gentlemen visiting this House will receive courteous attention, and will be supplied with ice cream and refreshing beverages at reasonable prices. A good band will be in attendance, and an excellent floor for dancing. Good order will be maintained and no intoxicating drinks will be allowed on the grounds.
