The Death of Charley Ziegler

“The announcement of the death of Charles H. Ziegler, of the firm of the Portsmouth Tinware company at his home at Manchester Friday evening, came as a great shock to his many friends in this city. It was known that he had been very ill with something like appendicitis, but reports from his bedside the last few days were quite encouraging, and it was thought all danger was over. However, there was a sudden change for the woese Friday morning, and death came at five o’clock Friday evening.”

“Deceased was one of the most popular young men throughout Southern Ohio, where he was well-known, having traveled all through the country in the interest of his firm. There was no more clever, sociable fellow than Charley Ziegler. Leave leaves a young wife and baby.”1
