Ephemera Friday #13: Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen

This letterhead of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen dated December 30th, 1914, originated from Financial Secretary EC Gleason1 of Lodge #591 in Portsmouth, Ohio, and was received by lodge member Mr. William F. Miller of the Turley Building of the same city.

It reads as follows: “Dear Sir and Brother, I can not tell just what your receipts would be for one year as they may be some special assessment in that time. When members pay in advance we only collect regular assessments and notify them of any special assessments next time they pay dues. Your receipts being $2.25 each month would be $27.00 for one year. Yours Fraternally, EC Gleason, Financial Secretary, Lodge 591.”
