Not too far from Carter Caves in Carter County, Kentucky, is a narrow road that parallels the creek that gives the road its name: McGlone Creek. If you follow this road to where it divides and stay to the left you will come to McGlone Cemetery sitting on a high bank to your right. Many of the early settlers of McGlone Creek are buried here alongside another family, the Davises.
Just up from McGlone cemetery and to the right of McGlone Fork is Davis Fork and just piece up from this divide is the small Davis family cemetery, shrouded in the shade of a coniferous trees. A combination of marble and fieldstone mark the graves of Moses Davis, Mildred Gibbs Davis, and several of their children and grandchildren.
