Our second virtual cemetery tour of Kronk Cemetery, also known as Pearl Cemetery, off of White Gravel-McDaniel Road in Madison Township, Scioto County, Ohio.
We had originally visited this cemetery back in February 2023 and upon speaking with a nearby resident and cemetery caretaker were invited back to visit when the daffodils were in bloom.
On the evening of March 1, 2023, we received a call from the caretaker who let us know now was the time to visit again. Despite a rain the night before our visit was more than had been expected. Every marker both legible and no-longer legible was flanked by beautiful yellow daffodils.
Our visit this time was less focused on the genealogy and arraignment of the cemetery, but more of a trip of appreciation for all of the hard work and dedication that has been committed to maintaining and beautifying this older rural burying ground.
