“The funeral of Miss Nancy Ellen Sparks, who died at Portsmouth General hospital Tuesday, following an operation, will be held at Bennett’s chapel, Shultz, Kentucky, Friday at 2:30 PM with Reverend Brady Lee, of the Tabernacle officiating. The funeral cortege will leave the Melcher funeral home at 1:30 o’clock. It may be viewed there until that hour.”
“Miss Sparks is survived by her father Doc Sparks of Elliott county, Kentucky, one brother, Charles, and a half brother, Martin Sparks of Elliott county; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Thomas of Schultz, Kentucky, her grandmother, Mrs. Ellen Lewis of Schultz, Kentucky. Her mother Mrs. America Lewis Sparks died several years ago. She also leaves the following uncles and aunts:”
