Rightmire Child Burned to Death

“Mr FD Rightmire¹, baggage man at the N&W railroad, received word today that his nephew, Elwood Rightmire², the seven year-old son of Mr WA Rightmire³, of Huntington, was burned to death Monday night. The child was playing with the fire in the grate when his clothing ignited, and before anything could be done he was so severely burned that he died a short while later. The remains will be taken to Wheelersburg Thursday for burial.⁴
