Fred Yuenger, 74, of Friendship, died at 9:30 PM Tuesday at Mercy hospital of double pneumonia. Mr. Yuenger was a brother-in-law of John W Birch, who died Tuesday at 9:15 AM at Mercy hospital.”
“Mr. Yuenger had been stricken last fall of typhoid fever and never had recovered fully from the effect of the illness. He was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning and died later in the day. He had been ill only a short time.”
“A native of Chillicothe, Mr. Yuenger was born January 13, 1864, a son of Peter and Barbara Ann Stuver Yuenger. He had lived virtually all his life in Scioto county and was a farmer. He was married to Miss Sarah Birch on December 18, 1887, and three children were born to them.”
“Surviving are his wife and a son, Lawrence of near Lucasville. Two children preceded him in death, Anna and Willie Yuenger. Mr. Yuenger also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Boyd of Chillicothe and Mrs. Louisa Coburn of Nauvoo.”
“Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday at Friendship ME church, with Reverend W Brady Moore and Revered RB Frederick of Portsmouth Nazarene church, in charge. Burial will be in Larkin cemetery. The body is at Windel-Howland funeral home. The body of Mr. Birch also is at the funeral home.
