“Funeral services for George L Slawson, 27, who died Monday in St. Francis hospital, Columbus, of pneumonia, following a short illness, will be held at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Cole, Cole’s park, West Side, Wednesday at 2:30 PM. Interment will be in the family cemetery in Cole’s park, under the direction of Lynn’s.”
“Mr. Slawson was the son of Eugene and Prudence Slawson, who died many years ago. He was reared by his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Cole, widow of WG Cole1. He had gone to Columbus about a year ago and was employed as a clerk in an unemployment bureau.”2
