The Obituary of Prudence Cole
“Word was received in the city Tuesday morning by Charles Hill of the West Side, announcing the death of Mrs. Prudence Cole Fry, daughter of Mr.1 and Mrs.2 WG Cole, formerly of this city, who are now residing in Columbus.”
“The message gave no particulars of the death, but stated the body would be brought here for burial. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at one o’clock at Oldtown church by Reverend Carroll. The remains will be interred on the George Cole farm, on the West Side.”
“Mr. and Mrs. Cole and family moved to Columbus a number of years ago. The family afterward returned to live on the Cole farm, but two years ago they returned to Columbus, where Mr. Cole was employed as a traveling salesman.”
“Mrs. Fry was 26 years of age and is survived by her husband, George Fry, and one son3 aged 7, and one brother Raymond, and four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Bullock, of this city, Misses Lyda, Katherine and Marjorie Cole of Columbus.”
“Mrs. Fry will be remembered here by a large circle of friends.”4
