James Ramey Obituary¹

“James Ramey, 1038 Longview Avenue, West Portsmouth, passed away at 2:30 AM today at his home, five days after his 75th birthday.”

“A veteran of World War I, Mr. Ramey was born December 25, 1878, in Adams County.”

“He was married to Anna Collum, who preceded him in death in 1921.”

“Surviving are a son, Jesse Ramey of Galena Pike, and two half-brothers, John Ramey and Frank Reed.”

“The parents, wife, and a sister preceded in death.”

“Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 PM at City View Mission, Reverend Edgar Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Larkin Cemetery under direction of Piatt Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home until noon Friday.”
