In February 2021, we received the loan of the Louisa J Williamson Autograph Book. Louisa J Williams, the daughter of Thomas Williamson and Lucinda Oard, was born February 27, 1843. In 1858 she received this book as a gift before departing to college. It is filled with the cordia words of her neighbors, friends, and family. It provides an insight into the small community of Dry Run, West Portsmouth, Washington Township, Scioto County, Ohio.
Louisa later married Luther R Jones of Dry Run and died on April 7, 1891. She was buried in the Williamson family cemetery on a hill above her family home.
