Freddie Boyd

“An immense crowd attended the funeral services that were held Friday over the remains of Freddie Boyd, the Jefferson street boy who was electrocuted Wednesday.”

“Reverend EG Hamilton, pastor of the Grandview Avenue church, conducted the services. Four young companions of the dead boy, Claude Evans, John Hester, Cecil Hill and Basil Cutlip acted as pallbearers. Burial took place in the Larkins graveyard on the West Side.”

Will Denning, who narrowly escaped a similar fate, spent a very restless night but was reported some better Friday.”1
