Freddie Will Leave His Darling

“Fred Stemshorn informed the Times that patience and forbearance have ceased to be virtues with him since his last marriage and to end his unpleasant life he will go to the county infirmary this evening and take up his abode. “My wife acts ridiculous,” says Freddie, “Why she gets drunk and won’t let me come home.”1

Note: Frederick Stemhorn was married to Lula Deem in Scioto County, Ohio, on June 12, 1895. At the time of their marriage he was 31 and she 18.
