Father Killed by Son with Butcher Knife

King Spence of Danelton, Greenup county, was killed Monday by his son, Albert, who stabbed his father with a butcher knife, killing him instantly. They had an argument about family matters. Young Spence and his brother, Howard, saw service in France where Howard was blown to bits by a shell and Albert at his side was so badly shell-shocked that for a long time his recovery was in doubt. ¹
