“Social Security Card Numbers Help Locate Kin.”

“Identity of the man found dead on the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway bridge over the Little Scioto river northeast of Sciotoville early April 23, has been established as Harold J. Grubb, 40.”

“He had been a WPA worker in Toledo. Identification was established by means of his social security card. Coroner Virgil Fowler had federal authorities trace the number and it led to location of relatives.”

“Mr. Grubb was born in Hillsdale, Michigan, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Grubb.”

“Funeral services were to be held at 2:30 PM today at Piatt-Gill funeral home in Sciotoville with Reverend John Siltner officiating. Burial was to follow in the county burial grounds on the West Side.”1
