Certificate of Death
1930 US Census
Note: The 1930 US Census states that a Samuel H Cox, who resided at 421 Front Street, Portsmouth, Ohio, and who was born in Pennsylvania, was 62 years of age at the time of the census, or rather, that it what he reported to the census taker. If this is the same Samuel H. Cox, then he would have been 70 years old at his time of death rather than “about 73” as reported on his certificate of death.
