“Two deaths have occurred at the county infirmary, on the West Side, within the past twenty-four hours, and a double funeral was held this afternoon.”
“Thomas Burns, 73, who had made his home in the county infirmary since 1910, died there at 1:30 AM Sunday, his death being due to complications. He formerly resided in Kentucky, but lived at Friendship when he was admitted to the county home. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the home and the last rites were in charge of Reverend TE Kinnison. Interment followed in the Infirmary burying ground.”
“Thomas Corrier, 50, died at 12:15 AM Monday. He had been ill for some time with a cancerous affection. He was admitted to the home January 15 from Highland Bend, near Sciotoville. His last rites were also in charge of the Reverend TE Kinnison, this afternoon.”1
