“Great is the anticipation of the inmates of the Children’s Home and County Infirmary for a merry Christmas. At both institutions the inmates will be given the usual turkey dinner with all the trimmings, besides bags of candy, nuts, and fruit. At the Home Christmas trees will be had for the little folks and these will be loaded down with toys donated by the generous public Saturday.”
“The poor at the Infirmary were not forgotten, either, as hundreds of presents donated were hauled to the institution today by Superintendent Hall to be distributed. The public school children will render a program for the entertainment of the waifs at the home, while Superintendent Hall will take his charges to attend the Christmas exercises at Bethel Methodist church.”1
