“The dog is the St. Bernard owned by Evan Surran, a poultry raiser and the same which attacked some hgs at the county infirmary. Malone was attracted to his pen in time to beat off the dog with a club before any more became his prey. He immediately hunted up Surran and served notice upon him that unless he killed the dog immediately he would do so himself. The entire neighborhood is stirred up over the ravages of the dog.”1
