“Mrs. Susan Hunter, 65, who was operated upon at the county infirmary Sunday, for the removal of gall stones, died Tuesday evening, and was buried at the infirmary cemetery, Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Hunter was sent from Portsmouth to the infirmary, but formerly resided on Pond Run. Mrs. Rachel Swords of West Fourth street, was a daughter and attended the funeral.” 1
