Has Her Husband Sent to Infirmary

“Mrs. John Bush, a North End woman, complained to the Board of Public Service Wednesday, that she was unable to support both herself and husband and therefore wanted him sent to the infirmary. He had been there before but refused to remain. He is a painter by trade but paralyzed and unable to work. He abuses her frequently.”

“The board acting upon her wishes warranted Bush over to the county authorities, while Chief Baccus was asked to inquire into the case of their sixteen year old son, who the mother says does no work whatever.”1
