“Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson, the aged colored woman who was burned at the infirmary yesterday afternoon, died last night about half past eleven o’clock, as the result of her injuries. She was frightfully burned about the chest and inhaled some of the flame. She suffered terrible agony. She was past eighty years of age and had been an inmate of the infirmary for many years. Mrs. Johnson’s last husband was named Robinson, but she was known by the former name.” 1
