Scioto County Infirmary

The Waif is Dead

“Several weeks ago the Times made mention of the fact that Poor Director Williams of the Otway district, had taken a child to the infirmary which had been left on the door steps of a well known Otway citizen.

The child had been at the infirmary since in the care of an inmate. The child, however, died last night of inanition and an effort is being made today to locate its parents.”1
