George Padan: A Sad Death

“Homeless and Friendless, George Padan, of Bainbridge, Dies at County Infirmary.”

George Padan, a young man who formerly worked in one of the shoe factories here, died at the Infirmary yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock of consumption. He was 19 years old and had been sick for some time. His parents live a Bainbridge, Ohio, and were communicated with, but no response was received. Deceased was a member of the local lodge of the Jr. O.U.M.A. and a very nice young fellow. In compliance with a last request of his that his remains not be laid in the Infirmary graveyard, they were interred at Greenlawn Cemetery this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.” 1
